Eagle’s Launch from 40 feet hill

Have you ever seen an eagle take off from a cliff? I have always been fascinated watching an eagle launch form a cliff and its landings. It’s pretty normal to get a soft pick up launch like an eagle’s at a costal site with smooth winds and ridge lift. Odds are less to get it at a training hill.

Last Sunday I was lucky to get good wind during launch and a weak broken thermal to pick me up. It was an awesome experience. See it for yourself.

  1. I tried this last summer at OBX, NC... The best feeling ever!
But it seems you fly quite higher than I did. Btw, you look like Superman with that red cape :)
